Code of Ethics
Journalists wrestle daily with the same questions that occupy ethicists and theologians: how to give order and meaning to the endless and confusing flow of human experience. In every assignment we do, we must respect the complexity of circumstances, even though we may have to simplify them for clarity's sake. We aim to treat people as persons, not as things or means to gain an edge over our competition.
Our highest ideal is truth and as Christians, we are doubly aware that Jesus is the source of all truth. We find in the Bible a unifying vision of meaning for our lives and for our age. We always keep in mind that this world and its goals are not eternal and that as journalists, we will all answer to the Lord as to how we have reported on a matter and how we treated those involved.
Gegrapha has not established its own formal code of ethics, but our values are compatible with the ethics codes of most professional journalists' organizations.
